SC-ST cell

The Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Cell of Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences has been constituted in the year 2018-19 with the following members for the welfare of SC/ST students and faculties. The cell conducts regular remedial coaching classes on life skills and personality development. The cell also organizes interactive sessions and meetings with students to attend to their personal, social and academic problems.

Objectives of the cell

1.To create a platform where SC-ST students can point out their problems, regarding academic and non-academic matters.

2.To bring the students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes at par with the main stream student body.

3.To provide prompt counseling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event taking place in the campus.

4.To monitor the implementation of reservation policy in the institute and to help the students in getting Govt. free ships/ Scholarships as per rules and the norms laid by Govt. in this regard are followed scrupulously.

Functionalities of the cell

1.To oversee and extend all possible education facilities like library, hostel accommodation, Scholarships etc.

2.Conduct of Grievance of Committee for SC-ST students, understand the problem brought to the cell discuss and take necessary actions to solve the problem

3.To provide Special coaching for competitive exams, personality development and communication skills.

4.Effective implementation of rule of reservation to SC, ST candidates in appointments adhering to system followed in the university as per the Government rules.

5.Counseling the students to help them overcome inferiority complex related to interaction with fellow students and establish good personal standpoint.

6.Committee often meets to render necessary advice and guidance regarding various academic and social issues.
